Not-So-Random Thoughts of the Day: Round 3

  • Dave Rod was right when he said, "if you do mission work, prepare to be wrecked."
  • What I've tried to do here in no way compares to what I received from here.

Pics - June 16

Not too many pictures today, as we were busy finishing our projects.  Painting, Cabinet/Shelves in the Kitchen, and Two Sets of  Concrete Steps!  Most importantly, we were able to love on some great kids...and drastically change our World View.  I would definitely recommend checking out all of the great pictures on the Facebook pages of anyone on your trip...there are great shots out there of the kids, projects, and team.

Enjoy these few from the day:

The hardest part of the day (week!)...saying goodbye.

Trip to ISNA - June 15

Today began with a trip to ISNA, a government-funded facility for kids abandoned in San Salvador.  Babies through teens live here...some of the teen girls have babies of their own.  I was completely wrecked after this visit.

Exodo Pics - June 15

Just a handful of the beautiful children at Exodo.
(apologies again for the non-rotated pics - they are rotated when I download them, but show up in the blog in the wrong direction!  I didn't want you to miss any of these great kiddos!)

Today's Not-So-Random Thoughts

Work Team Pics

This is one of the big projects for the work team:  making new steps down to the garden!  More steps to come by the chicken coop and shelves and cabinets in the kitchen.
